ABOUT US

Shortly after Danish Peter Lehmann left his studio an evening in Copenhagen it was set on fire by a gang, and everything was lost. Now, a few years later, the Danish singer and producer has started the band Omoreka, signed management deals with industry veterans, Al Cafaro, (Soundgarden, Sheryl Crow) and John Scher, (Bruce Springsteen, Lou Reed) from Metropolitan Hybrid and in Europe with Million Dollar Management, and has just released the debut Maxi EP on the indie record label “His Mother's Advice”.

Peter had just left his studio after putting the finishing touch on his first album, and a few hours later he saw his studio on fire on the TV news. The studio and all his belongings were gone - including the master to his album. Everything went up in flames, and Peter had to rethink his life.

But the arson was the beginning of a new chapter. Shortly before the fire Peter had received a phonecall from Seattle about an opening slot for Jeremy Enigk (Sunny Day Real Estate) on his U.S. tour. The fire made it easy to say yes, form a band, move to the US and persue the dream.
Omoreka was born and the band eventually found management, got a song placed as the theme-song on a great TV show, and opened for 3 Doors Down. Furthermore Omoreka won the MTV competition The Freshmen (listeners and viewers vote for their favorite music video), where the prize was a lifetime placement on MTV.

Omoreka now release their first album "Make It Big", a maxi EP with 7 songs about breaking out of the social heritage, dare to go on the long journey to persue your dream, relationships that end but open up new opportunities and especially about the society that suppresses ambitions, but how you find the courage to break free.
The songs have been recorded and mixed by the band themselves with a non existing budget, but with the ambition to reach across the globe, even if it means that they will have to ring every doorbell in the world to get there! Patience and perseverance is Omoreka's mantra.
